The department of Chemistry of Mugberia Gangadhar Mahavidyalaya was started in July 1997. It is one of the well equipped Science Departments of our college with a laboratory for research facility. Currently Prof. Dr. Bidhan Chandra Samanta is working as the Head of the Department. Vision of our department is to provide proper infrastructure for a better transfer of knowledge to the students using ancient ideologies and modern techniques so as to make them capable enough to find a meaningful path of survival with dignity, confidence, sense of innovation and responsibility towards the society and environment. Though the department has few shortcomings yet it tries its level best to develop a culture and mentality of meaningful learning process through effective teaching aids by experienced as well as dynamic new teachers, Guest Lecturers, Invited lectures, more hands on techniques in laboratories, Seminars, Workshops, Class tests etc.
